Coping-Mentally

How are you coping?

The big question people are afraid to ask these days. With all the pressures of life and what is going on in the world this is the question I ask most. Often, you will fine individuals express signs of shame, anxiety, frustration and believe it or not guilt. Some people are suffering from the guilt that they are not physically or financially affected as much as other’s and in some cases nothing significant at all but the negative environment is so heavy and energy is at an all-time low that mentally these individuals too are not coping well either.

We have seen it many times, where celebrities and wealthy people take their own lives. One would think that they have their lives all together but mentally something has triggered a negative energy that they were unable to deal with and unfortunate they are no longer here with us. These issues are all understandable, mental health issues can impact someone in so many ways. It unbelievable the thoughts that goes through their minds and the actions displayed because of this. Not everyone’s situation is created equal, not everyone is strong enough to take themselves out of that head space so we must respect others for where they are at the time of their current situation.

Please before you jump to conclusions, one has to ask yourself is that person doing through something, if it’s you that going through something than access the situation even If you take a piece of paper to make a list of the negatives and positives. Ask yourself what I can do to make me feel better. What can I do to make my situation better and if your in a position to do so what can you do to make others feel better?

A little kindness goes a long way.

Things I do to cop:

  • Speak to people who motive you, who empower you and take you through to the next day. Don’t worry about the next week, next month you just need to make it to the next day and let god take care of the rest.
  • Don’t feeling guilty about your feelings you are human, and we were built this way
  • Create the environment I want to live I started by getting rid of the things that don’t bring me joy. Decluttering various spaces in my house and embracing the items that speaks to who I am and the energy I want to have. Late last year I started this journey. I won’t say I’m becoming a minimalist, but I have learned less is more.
  • Follow positive influencer pages anything from motivational quotes, speeches, videos, pictures that shows happiness, joy, love, peace, kindness.
  • Bible study this gives you a totally different perspective on life. Understanding why things and happening, how things are happenings and the guidelines of how to live with the support of others to help carry you through.
  • Listen to past sermons with the teaching of God’s word and life.
  •  Prayer that intimidate moment to address all your feelings, concerns, burdens, give thanks and asking for things that your life requires.
  • Music to clear your head and give you energy.
